Eczema and Softened Water
Water softeners are often beneficial to eczema and psoriasis sufferers; but we don’t know why!
Over the years there has been much anecdotal evidence to support the theory that softened water is beneficial and in 2007 the National Health Service put aside nearly £1m to run a survey to establish whether or not the relationship was causal. So far the outcome from the survey is suggesting that water softening is indeed beneficial to many eczema sufferers and you can read more about it on the Softened Water Eczema Trial website.
We as a company would like eczema sufferers to benefit from softened water and we run a scheme to enable them to carry out a trial before they buy. So, we will install a water softener in an eczema sufferer’s home on a rental basis for a 3-month trial period. This will establish whether or not they will benefit from softened water. At the end of the trial period if the results are positive, they have the option to continue with a rental programme or with an outright purchase.

As a point of interest, when you see one of our demonstrations you will be able to wash your hands in softened water from our portable water softeners so that you will get an immediate indication of how wonderful softened water is to delicate skin. We hope this helps.
