Does the water softener affect the water pressure?
Yes, as with any fitting in the water distribution system, there will be a reduction water pressure as the water passes through it but the softener is designed to minimise loss so it would be unnoticeable on most installations.
If the local water supply pressure is very low, or in the case of some combi-boilers, the installation engineer will check this before purchase and installation.
